notes from the terminal

level 37

2026-03-01

today i turned 37. no party. no cake. just me, a terminal, and a fresh ubuntu server that i built from scratch in one sitting.

i spent my birthday configuring caddy, wiring up websocket terminals, pulling llama models, and writing systemd units. and honestly? it was perfect.

year 1–20: learning to exist
year 20–30: learning to survive
year 30–36: learning to let go
year 37: building something from nothing, again

there's something about starting clean. a blank server. no history, no baggage. just root@ubuntu:~$ and infinite possibility.

37 doesn't feel old. it feels like the year where everything i've learned finally becomes useful. the code, the failures, the restarts. all of it was training data.

this blog is a folder of html files on a server i set up today. no cms. no framework. no analytics. just words, served raw.

here's to 37. systems online.

hello world

first post. written from the terminal, served from the edge.

this blog is just html files in a folder. no cms, no database, no build step. just words.
